William M. (Morg) Harsh, 100, of Graysville, Pa., R.D. #1 died Monday, January 31, 2005 at 5:30 a.m. in the Southmont Presbyterian Senior Care, Washington, Pa. He was born October 24, 1904 in Majorsville, W.Va., a son of William Arthur and Delia Milliken Harsh and had been a resident of Morris Twp since 1957. Mr. Harsh was a member of the Salem Methodist Church. He enjoyed baseball, reading, and civil war history. He and his parents owned and operated the former Harsh and Clutter General Store in Majorsville, W.Va. His parents were among the first to own an automobile in the Majorsville area.Mr. Harsh was former a Morris Twp., Greene Co. supervisor and transported livestock for area farmers for several years. He was a self-employed dairy farmer and raised beef cattle as long as his health permitted.He was married to Ferne Whiteman Harsh who died on January 14, 1990. Surviving are one son, William A Harsh of Graysville, R.D. #1 with whom he shared a home; one daughter, Jane wife of Lemoyne Earliwine of Triadelphia, W.Va.; three grandsons, Timothy Harsh, Gary and Robert Earliwine; one granddaughter, Jo Earliwine; four great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, Deceased in addition to his wife are one daughter, Myra Frank; one brother, William Ray Harsh who died in infancy; two sisters, Nellie Clutter and Fairy Clutter.He was the last of his immediate family.The family requests no floral tributes and memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
