Wanita D. Hileman, age 91, of Waynesburg, PA, formerly of Baltimore, MD, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Rolling Meadows Nursing & Rehabilitation.
Born August 4, 1927, in Morgantown, WV, she is the daughter of the late Henry L. and Vivian (Chrislip) Yeager.
Wanita lived in Baltimore, Maryland most of her life. She loved helping others in need by volunteering and serving food at home less shelters. Wanita enjoyed going on long walks around her home, watching birds, painting on wood and cuddles from her cat. She was a very independent woman and proud of independence. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn A. Thompson, of TN, and Wanita Bell Butler, of MD; caregiver and niece, Denise M. Piper, of Brave, PA; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hileman; son, Paul Hileman; two sisters, Ellen Yeager-Piper and Thelma Lawson-Yeager.
Arrangements are private and were entrusted to Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA 15359.
