Virginia Crouse

April 14, 1937 — October 28, 2014

Virginia (Sis) L. Crouse, 77, of Rogersville, Pa. died at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2014 in The Washington Hospital after being in failing health for the past several years. She was born April 14, 1937 in Oak Forest, Pa. a daughter of the late Homer Charles and Loraine Gray Renner and had resided in Rogersville since 1951. Mrs. Crouse was a member of the Place of Grace Church in Rogersville, the former site of the Rogersville Christian Church. She was also a member of the Ladies of the Moose in Waynesburg and a former member of the American Legion Post 330 Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Crouse enjoyed ceramics, camping, basket weaving, crocheting, quilting and knitting, she and her husband completed two camping trips to all 48 states. She was formerly employed by the Elks Lodge in Waynesburg and Morgantown, W.Va., the former Flushing Shirt Factory, the West Greene High School cafeteria and was last employed as a cook at the former Beverly Health Care Center in Waynesburg for approximately 12 years prior to retiring in 1994. On August 31, 1951 she married Robert Eugene Crouse who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Sharon, wife of Mark Morgan of Waynesburg; five granddaughters, Shannon, Madison, Shelby, Alexis and Bethany Morgan; a brother, Jerry, husband of Pam Patterson of Jefferson. Deceased in addition to her parents is a sister, Doris (Dee) Walters. Friends will be received from to 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2014 with Pastor James H. Jarvis officiating. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Center Twp. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Place of Grace Church, Rogersville, Pa. or a charity of your choice.
