Virgil Carl "VC" Conaway

Virgil Carl “VC” Conaway, age 58, of Waynesburg, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 7, 2025, in his home.

Born December 9, 1966, in Waynesburg, son of Evelyn (Ruse) Conaway, of Waynesburg and the late Floyd Earl Conaway, Jr.

VC had been a Greene County resident most of his life. He was a member of the Waynesburg Fraternal Order of Eagles #598. VC was a kindhearted soul who would do anything for you if he could. He loved his mama and his dog, Kila. VC enjoyed watching and rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers, having chicken roasts and cookouts with his family, especially on the Fourth of July.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by, sisters, Pam Mattie, Crystal (Martin) Wygonik, and Beth Hughey, all of Waynesburg; brothers, Charles, Floyd (Michelle), John (Thelma), and Richard “Rooster” Conaway, all of Waynesburg; all though he had no children of his own, he had several nieces and nephews he adored.
