Thomas H. Orndoff

Thomas H. Orndoff, age 84, of Waynesburg, PA, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 while under the care of the Washington Hospital.

Born February 19, 1932, in Waynesburg, PA, he is the son of the late Edward and Bessie Orndoff.

Thomas graduated from Rogersville High School in 1950. He was a lifelong resident of Greene County. Thomas was a member of the Willow Grove Baptist Church. He also belonged to the Waynesburg Moose Lodge and Harvey’s Grange Senior Citizen Group. Thomas was a pipeliner for over ten years. He retired from the Greene County Housing Authority where he worked in maintenance for 20 years. Thomas enjoyed playing Cinch and Bingo at Harvey's Grange. His farming and family were of the utmost importance to him.

He is survived by his children, Stephanie (John) Bishop, of Washington, PA, Sandra Kay Moore, of Waynesburg, PA, and a daughter-in-law; Lisa Orndoff, of Waynesburg, PA; seven grandchildren, Kristen Vennum, Christopher Cook, Kara (Vince) Matvey, Justin (Mary Jane) Orndoff, Marcus D. Coe, Jessica Daniel (Lance) Starr, Jasmine M. Neidermeier; seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Viola (Wiseman) Orndoff and his son Charles E. Orndoff.

Friends will be received Monday, December 12, 2016 from 2-8 P.M. at the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. Rogersville, PA. 15359. (724) 499-5181. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Scott Blair, officiating.
