Sherry Sue (King) Lemmon

Sherry Sue (King) Lemmon, age 55, of New Freeport, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, March 16, 2024, in her home.

Born December 19, 1968, in Morgantown, WV., daughter of Ellen (Allum) King, of Colorado City, TX and the late John King.

Sherry was a Greene County resident her whole life. She graduated from Mapletown High School in 1986. Sherry married Randy Lemmon, Sr. on June 17, 1988, and they were happily married for 35 years. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, and most of all, taking care of her grandchildren. 

In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by, two children, Kascha (Josh) Corkran, of Elm Grove, WV. and Randy Lemmon, Jr., of Holbrook; four grandchildren, Konnor Andrew McConeghy, Samuel Thomas Scott Corkran, and Daniel and Liam Lemmon; five siblings, Melody (Bruce) Daws, of Fayetteville, NC, Katlyn King, Shala Greer, Shaleena Greer, and Jacob King, all of Colorado City TX.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Lucille Allum and Donald and Blanche King.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 4-8 PM at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Gary Crawford, officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery, Center Twp.
