Sandra W. (Sando) Clayton Howard, 49, of Claysville, Pa. died unexpectedly, Monday, December 16, 2013 from injuries received in an automobile accident.She was born February 1, 1964 in Waynesburg, Pa. a daughter of the late Clyde (Sonny) Clayton and Beulah Wyvonne Gaines Leonard, and had resided in Valley Grove, W.Va. prior to moving to West Finley Twp., Washington County.Ms. Howard attended Waynesburg High School.She was employed most of her working life as a bartender and was last employed in housekeeping at the Comfort Inn Suites.Ms. Howard was a member of the Triadelphia, W.Va. pool league and enjoyed crocheting, the outdoors, bonfires, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan.Surviving are three daughters, Arieal Star Jones, wife of Brian Jones of West Alexander, Pa., Amanda Miller of Lawrenceberg, Tenn. and Destiny Howard, companion of Chris Clutter of West Finley Twp.; two sons, Charles Montgomery, companion of Melody Ware of Spraggs and Anthony, husband of Kayla Moretti of Mercer, Pa.; two brothers, Howard, husband of Kay Gaines of Billing, Mt. and Jay Leonard, Jr., husband of Melonie Leonard of Clarksville; six sisters, Helen, wife of Kenneth Kirby of Clarksville, Kathleen, wife of Edward Hines of Brownsville, Pearleen, wife of Bill Spencer of Ohio, Earnestine, wife of James Coger of Carmichaels, Donna Gaines and Alma, wife of Michael Gray, both of Prosperity; five grandchildren; step-father, Jay Leonard, Sr. of Waynesburg; several nieces and nephews.Deceased in addition to her parents are a sister, Imogene Gaines and as brother, Clyde Gaines.
