Robert Lee Bish, 77, of Littleton, W.Va. died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, April 4, 2004 in WVU Hospitals, Inc. (Ruby Memorial Hospital) in Morgantown, W.Va. following serious illness of six weeks.He was born March 16, 1927 in North Jackson, Ohio a son of Roy Dallas and Gladys Wise Bish and has resided in the Hundred and Littleton, W.Va. areas for the past 32 years.Mr. Bish was a member of the Waynesburg Moose Lodge 461 and the National Rifle Association, and was an active supporter of the W.Va. Fraternal Order of Police and an avid coin collector.He was formerly employed in pipeline construction and high-tower painting and for the past 32 years has been an employee and manager of The Spot bar and restaurant in Hundred, W.Va.Mr. Bish was a veteran of World War 2 where he served with the U.S. Army.He had shared a home with Mabel Virginia Simms Thomas for 14 years prior to her death in 1986.Surviving are two sons, Thomas Bish of Youngstown, Ohio and James Bish of San Diego, California; five grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Patton of North Jackson, Ohio; two stepdaughters, Laura E. Woods of Hundred, W.Va. and Nancy L. Foreman of Warren, Ohio; one stepson, Wayne E. Thomas of Warren, Ohio; five step grandchildren, Michael Woods II and Macy (Gypsy) Woods, Virginia Lee Foreman, Joshua and Jeremy Thomas; six step great grandchildren.Deceased are one brother, Thomas E. Bish; one granddaughter, Christina Bish.Graveside military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post 330, the V.F. W. Post 4793 and the D.A.V. Post 123 all of Waynesburg.
