Richard L. Breeding

Richard L. Breeding, age 69, of Wind Ridge, PA, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 while under the care of Family Hospice & Palliative Care, Mt. Lebanon, PA.

Born on February 12, 1947, in Cameron, WV, he is the son of the late Daniel and Emily (Breeding) Santee.

Richard retired after 24 years of service to his country from the U.S. Air Force as a Supervisor for Aircraft Ground Equipment. He was a Deacon and Elder at the Harmony Presbyterian Church in Wind Ridge, PA. Richard worked for the Wind Ridge election polls. He also volunteered for the American Red Cross. He was one of the team members for D.A.T. (Disaster Action Team) and worked at the disaster shelter in Wind Ridge. When a local home caught on fire, he would arrive with supplies and support for the family. Richard was well known in his community and loved to help others.

Surviving are two brothers, Daniel (Kathleen) Breeding of Chantilly, VA and Byron (Laura) Santee of Alexandria, KY; one uncle, Lester (Betty) Breeding of London, KY; two aunts, Alberta (Lawrence) Gittings of Wheeling WV, and Shelby (Paul) Jones of Garrison, KY ; four nieces and nephews, Angela Santee, Amy (Reide) Baxter, Frank (Jessica) Santee, James Santee; and one grandniece, Lacey Klare.

Friends will be received on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. Rogersville, PA,15359. 724-499-5181. A Funeral Service will be held that evening at the funeral home, December 11, 2016, at 8:00 P.M. with Pastor Linda Shaw, officiating. Burial with full military honors will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 1:30 P.M. at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Rd., Bridgeville, PA, 15017. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CEMETERY BY 1:15 P.M.
