Raymond A. Markham, Jr.

Raymond A. Markham, Jr., age 89, of Brownsville, passed away, Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Premier of Washington.

Born November 20, 1935, in McKeesport, son of the late Raymond A. and Clara (Walters) Markham, Sr.

Raymond was a former member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church at Casthill Ridge. He married Georgia Faye Fulton on June 9, 1964, and they were happily married for 45 years until her passing on October 31, 2009. Raymond was a laborer for Fort Pitt Steel Casting in McKeesport for 30 years until he retired in 1980. He was a social member of the VFW. Raymond enjoyed playing horseshoes, shooting pool, gardening and being outdoors. He loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by two children, Ronald Markham, of Brownsville and David (Karen) Markham, of Washington; one grandchild, Ryan Markham; three siblings, Fernie Martinelli, of McKeesport, Freddie Markham, of White Oak, and Barbie Beetle, of Elizabeth; many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 11-1 PM at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. PO Box 434 Rogersville, PA 15359, Telephone: 724-499-5181, where a funeral service will be held directly after with Pastor Gary Crawford, officiating. Burial will follow at Horn Cemetery, Marianna.
