Peggy S. Barnhart

Peggy S. Barnhart, age 69, of New Freeport, PA, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017, in the Washington Health System.
Born July 26, 1947, she is the daughter of the late James and Josephine (Lough) Barnhart.
Peggy worked for Greene Arc in Waynesburg when she was younger. She loved embroidery and stitching by hand. Peggy spent most of her time outdoors mowing, weed eating, and working in her garden. She also liked playing bingo, baking, and doing crafts while she was at Elder Care. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are two brothers, Terry Barnhart of New Freeport, PA and Walter (Barbara) Barnhart, of Moundsville, WV; her sister, Margie (Larry) Gorby, of Littleton, WV; sister-in-law, Erma Barnhart, of New Freeport, PA; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Barnhart and Marlene Cork; one brother, Dennis Barnhart.
Friends will be received on Friday, July 14, 2017, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA 15359. (724) 499-5181. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Vernon Kay Berdine, officiating. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
