Patricia Darlene Fordyce

Patricia Darlene Fordyce, age 70, of West Alexander, PA, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Premier Washington Health Center, Washington, PA.

Born December 30, 1947, she was the daughter of the later Charles and Mildred (Raymer) Mahan.

Patricia was a resident of West Alexander her whole life. She graduated from McGuffey High School in 1965. Patricia married Clifford Fordyce, Jr. July 10, 1965.They were happily married for 52 years. She was an accounts payable manager at West Point Products for 30 years when she retired in 2010. She was a member of the West Alexander Presbyterian Church where she was a former Deaconess. Patricia was an avid volunteer in her community and involved in many church activities. Her greatest joy was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed baking, gardening, macramé crafting, dancing and playing cards. She loved spending time at Lake Seneca Resorts (her second home), boating and water sports. Patricia watched the Pittsburgh Steelers and was an avid fan.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Darlene Darrall, of Washington, PA, and Clifford (Tammy) Fordyce, III, of Carmichaels, PA; a brother, Gary Mahan, of Wheeling, WV; three sisters, Rose (Voyne) Omps, of Cleveland, OH, Theda (Lonnie) Church, of Triadelphia, WV, and Kay (Bill) Dillie, of West Finley, PA; four grandchildren, Autumn and Cassandra Darrall and Abigail and Jacob Fordyce.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Mahan.

Friends will be received on Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 3-8 P.M. at the West Alexander Presbyterian Church, 303 Main St. West Alexander, PA 15376. A funeral service will be held at West Alexander Presbyterian Church on Monday January 8, 2018 at 11:00 A.M with Pastor Tim Florence officiating. Interment will follow at West Alexander Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 480 Johnson Rd. #230 Washington, PA 15301 and West Alexander VFD, 100 Main St. West Alexander, PA 15376.
