N. Carrol Phillips, 86, of Rogersville, Pa. died at 2:20 a.m. Sunday, October 2, 2005 in the Seabright Personal Care Home, Rogersville.She was born September 12, 1919 in Springhill Twp. Greene Co. Pa. a daughter of Perry Oscar and Nellie Grace Barger Phillips and has been a resident of Rogersville since 1939.Miss Phillips has been a member of the Rogersville U.M. Church most of her adult life and served on the Missions Board and was a member of the choir as long as her health permitted.She attended the New Freeport schools and was a 1941 graduate of the former Center Twp. High School in Rogersville.Miss Phillips was employed by the former Greenway Manufacturing Co. in Waynesburg as a seamstress for over 37 years prior to retiring in 1986.Surviving are her primary caregivers, nephew, David, husband of Connie Arnold Blue of Waynesburg and several other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.Deceased in addition to her parents are three sisters, Florence who died in infancy, Mary Egon and Waneta Blue; three brothers, Murl G., Charles D.(twin brother to Florence) and Floyd (Buck) Phillips.Miss Phillips was the last of her immediate family.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Hospice Care of Washington Hospital, The Washington Hospital Foundation, 155 Wilson Ave., Washington, Pa. 15301.
