Mary Kodrin

Mary M. Kodrin, 82, formerly of Carmichaels, Pa. died at 10:40 a.m., Thursday, August 17, 2006 in the Madison Nursing Center, Morgantown, W.Va. after being in failing health for the past 4 years.She was born September 13, 1923 in Springhill Twp. (Ned), Greene County, Pa. a daughter of Bern and Nell Warrick Gump and had resided in Waynesburg prior to moving to Carmichaels in 1985 where she resided for 17 years.Mrs. Kodrin was a member of the Waynesburg Church of Christ.She was employed by the former Greene County Memorial Hospital as a nurse aide for 25 years prior to retiring in 1985.Surviving are three daughters, Peggy Vitarelli of Fairmont, W.Va., Linda Baer of Morgantown, W.Va. and Debra Bissett of Waynesburg; one son, John B. Carpenter of Austin, Ark.; one sister, Martha Howard of Waynesburg; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren.Deceased are one sister, Maxine Guthrie and one great grandson, Dylan Wood.
