Mary Ghrist

Kay Hunt (MiMi) Ghrist, 92, of Claysville, Pa. died at 9:15 p.m. Friday, October 31, 2008 in the home of her daughter, Carolyn McGill. She was born February 25, 1916 in Washington, Pa. a daughter of John M. and Sarah Elizabeth Roberts Hunt and has resided in Claysville for over 60 years. Mrs. Ghrist was Episcopalian by faith and attended Washington High School. She was a life member of the W J Auxiliary and a volunteer with the Washington Hospital Auxiliary. Mrs. Ghrist enjoyed collecting antique furniture. On October 30, 1935 she married Elmer I. Ghrist who died in August 1998. Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn McGill and Alycia K. Ghrist both of Washington, Pa.; four grandchildren, Siobhan (C.O.) and James (Jeb) McGill, Darcy DeLoach and Amanda Metzger; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are four brothers, Frank, Howard, Orville and Kenneth Hunt. Mrs. Ghrist was the last of her immediate family.
