Marie Wilda Dillie

Marie Wilda (Dreamer) Dillie , age 87, of Claysville, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 24, 2016 after a courageous two year battle with leukemia. She was born the only child of the late Harry Francis and Anna Mae (Crowe) Dreamer on May 11, 1929.

On February 20, 1950, Marie married Calvin Arden Dillie, also of Claysville, PA. They spent 66 wonderful years of marriage together.

Marie graduated Claysville High School in the class of 1947. She was a member of the Claysville Christian Church and also a member of the Evening Star Chapter 187. Marie was a 25 year volunteer at the Washington Hospital and also volunteered for the Claysville Fire Department Auxiliary. She was a member of The West Finley Friendship Club. Marie loved being a homemaker, wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. She was a kind friend to all. She loved the time she spent with her family and friends. Listening to old time country music was a particular joy to Marie. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are two sons, Dennis Ray Dillie, of Lafayette, CO., and Douglas Aaron (Pam) Dillie, of Pittsburgh, PA; one granddaughter, Kristen Nicole (Chad) Beall, of Highlands Ranch CO; three grandsons, Brenton Douglas (Amy) Dillie, of Richmond, VA, Aaron David Dillie, of Golden, CO., and Scott Dennis Dillie, of Falls Church, VA.

Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at the Claysville Christian Church, 128 Church St., Claysville, PA. 15323. A funeral service will be held at the church at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 27, 2016, with Reverend Meade Lacock, officiating at the church. Interment will follow in the Claysville Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC, 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA, 15359.
