M. Forshey

M. Fred Forshey, 88, of Waynesburg, Pa. died at 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2003 in Beverly Health Care, Waynesburg, Pa. following a lingering illness.He was born November 29, 1914 in Center Township (Oak Forest), Greene County, Pa. a son of William Alonzo and Emma Hoge Forshey and has resided in the Greene County area all his life.Mr. Forshey was a member of the First Christian Church in Waynesburg.He has been a member of the Waynesburg Moose Lodge 461 for over 50 years.Mr. Forshey was an employee of the former JL Steel Corp. (LTV) as a millwright for approximately 25 years prior to retiring in 1976. On August 23, 1933 he married Florence Fullick Forshey who died December 15, 1985.Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Morris of Waynesburg; two sons, James E. Forshey of Avery, CA. and Arthur Allen Forshey of Dixon, Missouri; 18 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several step grandchildren.Deceased are a son, Jerry L. Forshey who died in 1980; one brother, Frank Forshey; two sisters, Mattie Forshey and Pearl West.Mr. Forshey was the last of his immediate family.
