Linda Sue (Renner) Wood

Linda Sue Renner Wood, 75, of Waynesburg, PA, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025, in Uniontown Hospital.

She was born March 25, 1949, in Waynesburg, PA, the daughter of the late Harold and Emily Doris (Grossl) Renner.

Mrs. Wood was a lifelong resident of Greene County and a 1967 graduate of Waynesburg Central High School. On April 6, 1974, she married Melvin E. Wood, who died February 1, 2019. Mrs. Wood was employed as a secretary for the phone company for 45 years when she retired in 2012.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching their ball games and cooking.

She is survived by her three children, Heath (Kayla) Wood of Jefferson, Michael Wood and partner (Rachel), and her children, (Riley) and (Carter) of Low Hill, and Megan (Jeff) Lantz of Uniontown; seven grandchildren, Jordan Wood, Brendan Wood, Brelynn Wood, Owen Wood, Eliana Wood, Landon Wood and Eli Wood; three siblings, James (Ginger) Renner, of Waynesburg, PA, Dave Renner, of Waynesburg, PA, and Charles (Kim) Renner, of Jefferson, PA; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Dylan Wood. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
