Linda E. Porter

Linda E. Porter, age 64, of Holbrook, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.

Born September 22, 1953 in Washington, PA, she is the daughter of the late Jack and Faith (Stockdale) Gillogly.

Linda was a 1971 graduate of West Greene High School. She was a member of the Bristoria Baptist Church in Holbrook, PA, where she led the Ladies Prayer Group and was involved in the Children’s Bus Ministry. Linda was a loving wife, an amazing mother and grandmother. Her family and farm were her life. She also devoted herself to taking care of others. Linda had a bubbly, fun sense of humor and always had a smile on her face.

She is survived by two children, Mike (Jenny) Porter, of Waynesburg, PA and C.J. Porter, of Holbrook, PA; son-in-law, Charlie Garber; five grandchildren, Nicole Garber, Tyler Porter, Tucker Porter, Cadyn Porter and Kaylee Garber; one great-grandchild, Owen Smith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Porter, who passed away in 2014; her daughter, Becky Garber; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Porter; two siblings, Bob and Kim Gillogly.

Friends will be received on Friday, March 16, 2018 from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Gary Crawford, officiating. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery, Jackson Twp., PA.
