Leota Sprowls Clutter, 84, of Waynesburg, Pa. and formerly of West Finley, R.D. #2 (Richhill Twp.) died at 11:50 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2004 in the Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg after being in failing health for the past several years.She was born June 22, 1920 in East Finley Twp., Washington County, Pa. a daughter of Isaiah Breckenridge and Clarissa Eldora Wise Sprowls and had lived in Richhill Twp for most of her life. Mrs. Clutter was a member of the Crabapple Community Church where she served as church board secretary for several years. She was a volunteer with Bible Release Time at Graysville Elementary School for 25 years and was also a volunteer with the American Cancer Society in Waynesburg. She was a member of the Genealogical Society of Waynesburg and enjoyed piecing quilts and crocheting as hobbies.Mrs. Clutter was a self-employed farmer raising sheep and Herford cattle and was a representative of Stanley Home Products as long as her health permitted. Surviving are four daughters, Darlene Caldwell of West Alexander, Pa., Ellen Dunn, Patricia Barnickel, Janet Bauduin all of Washington, Pa.; one son, Herman S. Clutter, Jr. of West Finley, Pa.; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren. Deceased are one son, Ronnie Gene Clutter who died on August 21, 1999; two sisters, Annie and Leah; six brothers, John, Dewey, Timothy, Howard, Earl, and Elzie. Mrs. Clutter was the last of her immediate family. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to your local American Cancer Society or the Crabapple Community Church, Wind Ridge, Pa.
