Lena Lou Stoneking

Lena Lou Stoneking, age 74, of Holbrook, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 with her family by her side.

Born July 29, 1942, in Fairmont, WV, she is the daughter of the late James Washington and Riffle Rebecca (Eddy) Bell.

Lena was a member of Valley Chapel United Methodist Church, Holbrook, PA.

She was a resident of Pine Bank for 50 years. On October 8, 1961, she married James William Stoneking. Lena enjoyed sitting and watching the wildlife that came onto her property. She loved taking people on ghost rides and cooking. Lena loved being around babies, it always brought her joy. She enjoyed spending all the time she could with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, James William Stoneking, of Holbrook, PA; their four children, Randy (Maureen) Stoneking of Brave, PA, Brenda Sue (Kenneth) Hughes of Pine Bank, PA, Daniel Ray (Jodie) Stoneking of Center Highlands, PA, and Malinda (Donald) John of Pine Bank, PA; two sisters, Catherine Golden of Elizabeth, KY and Jane Tennant of Spraggs, PA; three brothers, George Bell of Spraggs, PA, Kenneth Bell of Pine Bank, PA, and Robert Bell of Spraggs, PA; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Stewart and eight brothers, Jim, Fred, Archie, Jack, Donald, Arthur, Delbert, and David Bell.

Friends will be received on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 4-8 P.M. at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. Rogersville, PA 15359. 724-499-5181. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pine Bank Cemetery, Gilmore Township, PA.
