Josephine Kathryn Palmer Crane, 91, of Morgantown, W.Va., and formerly of Aleppo, Pa., died at 2:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2013 in her home.She was born May 16, 1922 in Allister (Wetzel County, W.Va.), a daughter of the late John Elmer and Kittie B. Henderson Vandine and had been a resident of Greene County for most of her life prior to moving to Morgantown, W.Va. in 2006.Mrs. Crane attended the Church of the Nazarene in Moundsville, W.Va.She was a 1940 graduate of Magnolia High School in New Martinsville, W.Va.Mrs. Crane enjoyed crocheting and reading.She was employed in home healthcare in Cameron, Moundsville, and Wheeling, W.Va., for 30 years prior to retiring in 1992.On June 26, 1940 she married Guy Alzie Palmer who died on February 18, 1975 and on April 27, 1992 she married Glenn Crane who died on May 15, 2004.Surviving are a daughter, Loretta Mitchell of Morgantown, W.Va.; four grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; six great "" great grandchildren; one brother, Mike Vandine of Aliquipa, Pa; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents and husbands are two sons, Thomas G. and Richard L. Palmer; two sisters, Roxie Smith and Franki Rush; 3 brothers, John, Issac, and David Vandine.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Hospice Care Corporation, 3363 University Ave., Morgantown, W.Va., 26505.
