Joseph Allen Miller, 82, of Holbrook, Pa. R.D. #1 (Bluff), died at 3:04 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. He was born September 10, 1922 in Somerset County, Pa. a son of John Wesley and Annie Rice Miller and had resided in Hundred, W.Va. and Fayette County, Pa. prior to moving to the Bluff area in 1994.Mr. Miller was a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church, Mill Run, Fayette County, Pa. and enjoyed hunting and fishing.He owned and operated a coal mine and was a self-employed timber man, and general contractor all of his working life. On July 25, 1963, he married Arlene Richter Miller who survives.Surviving are three sons, Stephen A. of Holbrook, R.D. #1 (Bluff), Allen Lee of New Freeport, and Darrell J. of Holbrook, R.D.#1 (Nettle Hill); one daughter, Linda Burnsworth of East Canton, Oh.; several nieces and nephews.Deceased are seven brothers, one set of twin brothers and Robert Miller who died in infancy, Paul, John, Orville, and Dewey Miller; four sisters, Margaret Pearl, Thelma Stark, Beatrice Miller and Mary Olson.He was the last of his immediate family.
