Jenny Marling

Jenny L. Marling, 56, of New Freeport, Pa. died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2004 in the Washington Hospital, Washington, Pa. after a lengthy cancer related illness.She was born June 22, 1947 in Wheeling, W.Va. a daughter of James Arthur and Lillian Dell Miller Marling of New Freeport with whom she shared her home.Miss Marling was a 1965 graduate of West Greene High School and a 1996 graduate of Farimont (W.Va.) Business College and had taken several classes at W J and the University of Pittsburgh.She was employed as a secretary by Allegheny Power Company for 35 years and last held the position of secretary to the company vice president, and she had been self employed as a Mary Kay representative and a Shaklee Distributor for over ten years and as long as her health permitted.Miss Marling was a member of the Fairmont Women's Club.She was a former student of piano teacher Betty Tarbet of New Freeport.Surviving in addition to her parents are a brother, J.B. Marling of New Freeport; one niece, Michelle Anderson; one great nephew, Colton Anderson.Deceased are her maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Nell Anderson Miller; paternal grandparents, Harry and Florence Courtwright Marling.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to your local American Cancer Society for the study of breast cancer.
