Jennifer Bird Porter

Jennifer L. Bird Porter, 32, of West Union, Pa., died unexpectedly at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2014 in The Donell House, Washington, Pa. She was born November 4, 1981 in Washington, Pa., a daughter of Donald Lee and Lynn Shriver Bird of West Union, Pa., and has lived in the Greene County area for most of her life. Mrs. Porter was a member of the West Union Presbyterian Church. She is a 2000 graduate of West Greene High School and a 2002 graduate of West Virginia Junior College with a Medical Assistants Degree. Mrs. Porter enjoyed making jewelry, arts and crafts, reading, growing flowers, and spending most of her time with her son. On December 26, 2003 she married Clinton James (C.J.) Porter who survives. Surviving in addition to her parents and husband are a son, Cadyn J. Porter of West Union, Pa.; two sisters, Megan D. Bird of West Union, Pa., and Ashlee D. Bird of Greensburg, Pa.; her lifelong best friend Randi Jean Drake of Monroeville, Pa.; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Deceased is her maternal grandparents, Joel L. and Betty J. Shriver; paternal grandparents, Walter R. and Dora C. Bird; an uncle, Dennie F. Shriver; and a cousin, Jessica L. Ringer. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc., Rogersville, Pa., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 22, 2014 with Pastor Nellie Baker officiating.
