James Mike

James E. Mike, 75, of Morris Twp. Greene County, Pa. died at 7:20 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2012 in the Donnell House, Washington, Pa..He was born May 9, 1936 in Mannington, W.Va. a son of the late Elmer James and Martha Louise Simpson Mike.Mr. Mike had resided in Jefferson, Pa. prior to moving to Morris Twp., Greene County, where he had resided for the past 35 years.He was a member of the Crabapple Community Church in Richhill Twp, Greene County.Mr. Mike enjoyed gardening, general woodworking and listening to Johnny Cash and old time western music.He was last employed as laborer with Morris Twp. in both Greene and Washington Counties prior to retiring in 2010.On August 27, 1960 he married Molly Elaine Malone who died September 25, 2005.Surviving are a son, James A., husband of Laura Mike of Dilliner; a granddaughter, Natalia Elaine Mike; a step granddaughter, Madeira Halow; four brothers, William, husband of Debbie Mike and Charles, husband of Sue Mike, both of Jacksonville, Fl.; Donald, husband of Delores Mike of Morris Twp., Thomas, husband of Cathy Mike of New Castle; three sisters, Sue Keith and Sara, wife of William Hundall both of Jacksonville, Fl. and Mary Jo Simpson of Texas; several nieces and nephews.Deceased in addition to his parents and wife is a sister, Wanda Mike.The family requests that all donations be made directly to Rush Funeral Home, Inc., PO Box 388, Rogersville, Pa. 15359.
