Imogene Catherine Zimmerman

Imogene Catherine Zimmerman, age 72, of Carmichaels, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 while under the care of Waynesburg Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on May 22, 1944 in Aleppo Twp., PA, she is the daughter of the late Orval and Ferne (Grinage) Pierson.

Imogene was a life long resident of Carmichaels. She enjoyed taking long walks in the community, sometimes for miles at the time. Her family was most important to her. She was known for always lending a hand to others.

Surviving are five children, Alberta Padilla, of San Antonio, Texas, Doris Anne, of Cleveland, Ohio, Frank Teets, of Pittsburgh, PA, Ray (Nancy) Lavigne, of Ruff Creek, PA, and Boyd (Brenda) Lavigne, of Carmichaels, PA; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-greatgrandchildren; half brother, Russell McCalin; one nephew, Rusty McCalin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Amdie Anthony Lavigne and James Zimmerman.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA, 15359. (724) 499-5181. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be held at Rosemont Cemetery, Center Twp., at a later date.
