Hazel E. Henevich, 84, of Wind Ridge, Pa. and formerly of McMurray (Thompsonville) and Banksville, Pa. died at 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2009 in the Golden Living Center-Waynesburg.She was born February 14, 1925 in Banksville a daughter of the late George and Della Sutton Smith and had resided in Thompsonville for 50 years prior to moving to Wind Ridge in 2007.Mrs. Henevich was a former member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Upper St. Clair and attended the Grace Baptist Church in Taylorstown as long as her health permitted.She enjoyed gardening and was last employed at the former G.C. Murphy Co. in Bookline (Pittsburgh).On July 21, 1951 she married Julius Martin Henevich who died October 26, 2000.Surviving are a daughter, Evelyn Hummell, with whom she shared her home in Wind Ridge; three sons, Bruce W. Henevich, Sr., companion of Donna Brown of Wind Ridge, Barry, husband of Kathy Henevich of Castle Shannon, Pa. and Randy, husband of Lisa Henevich of Finleyville; six grandchildren, Paul, Robert, Jacob and Anna Hennevich, Bruce W. Henevich, Jr. and Christine Serio; one great grandchild, R.J. Henevich, Jr.Deceased are three sisters, Dorothy and Gladys Smith and Myrtle Francis; one brother, James Smith.Mrs. Henevich was the last of her immediate family.
