Harold Dale Hennen

Harold Dale Hennen, 72, of Waynesburg, Pa. died, Monday, January 6, 2025 in his home, surrounded by his family following a battle with a Cancer related illness.

He was born July 24, 1952, in Waynesburg, Pa., a son of the late Paul Everette and Mary Naomi Barnhart Hennen, and had been a resident of Greene County all his life.

Mr. Hennen was a member of the Glen Oaks Church of Christ in Morgantown, W.Va.

He was a 1971 graduate of West Greene High School and a Viet Nam Veteran where he served with the U.S. Army.

Mr. Hennen enjoyed gardening, outdoor grilling, repairing computers, fishing, and he enjoyed the time he spent teaching his family to ride dirt bikes, and also enjoyed playing piano.

He was a self-employed carpenter most of his life, specializing in Kitchen & Bath remodeling, and was a former partner with Ronald Hampson (R&H Kitchen & Bath), and last employed by Builders Surplus in Washington as a Kitchen Design Consultant before retiring in 2021.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Alice Ilene Poland Hennen; also surviving are a son, Chris (Candy) Hennen of Canonsburg; 2 Daughters, Kimberly Mary Hennen of Pittsburgh and Kaylah Rischelle Hennen of Morgantown, W.Va.; 3 brothers, Carl (Happy) Hennen of Aliquippa, Jerry (Peggy) Hennen of Warren, Ohio and Ronald (Laura Lee) Hennen of Georgetown; a sister, Carol Jacobs of Rutan; 4 grandchildren, Lexi and Michael Valenson, Joby Hennen and Nadia Owen; 3 great grandchildren, Wyett, Violet and Vayda; a grand-dog, Oakey; several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC in Rogersville, Pa. where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 11:00 am with Evangelist Alan Williamson officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Richhill Twp. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
