George Morris

George A. Morris, 60, of Holbrook, Pa., R.D. #1 died at 2:21 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2004 in Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg, Pa. after being in failing health for the past several years. He was born May 28, 1944 in Springhill Twp., Greene Co., Pa. a son of the late Floyd "Pete" and Audrey Octava McMasters Morris and had been a resident of Jackson Twp. most of his life.Mr. Morris was employed as a general farm hand most of his working life and was employed by the late Ray (Buss) Weaver family for several years in the New Freeport area.He enjoyed the companionship of his dogs, hunting, and fishing.Mr. Morris was a companion of the late Greta Joann Miller Sappington for 22 years prior to her death April 29, 2000.Surviving are a daughter, Amanda Morris, companion of Jason Wigner of Sycamore R.D. #1; three brothers, Floyd R. "Pete" Morris and Russell "Jake", husband of Ruth Pierson Morris all of Rogersville, Junior C. husband of Josephine Betz Morris of Salem, Ohio; four sisters, Ethel Phillips, Velma Morris, and Jessie Stohon all of Holbrook, R.D. #1 and Erma wife of Gary Orndoff of Waynesburg; several nieces and nephews.Deceased are a brother, Asa Selvey Morris and a sister who both died in infancy.
