Genevieve Richter

Genevieve Richter, 78, of Painesville, Ohio and formerly of Greene County, Pa. died at 4:02 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2006 in her home.She was born November 27, 1927 in Alvy, W.Va. a daughter of John B. and Temperence Ellen Cohen Gaines and has been a resident of the Painesville area since 1949.On April 29, 1949 she married Richard Sherwood Richter who died in 1983.Mrs. Richter was last employed in the housekeeping department at Lake Erie College.Surviving are three sons, Rick (Mary Ann) Richter of Ocala, Fla., Tim Richter of Marion, Ohio and Tom (Marie) Richter of Ashtabula, Ohio; one daughter, Vickey (Roger) Moore of Painesville; one sister, Betty Moore of Holbrook, Pa.; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister in law, Geraldine Kirby of New Freeport, Pa.Deceased in addition to her husband are a daughter, Brenda Richter; one brother, Robert Gaines; two half brothers, Archie and James Kirby; two sisters, Udoris Turner and Geraldine Smitley; three half sisters, Cretta Weaver, Ruby Cunningham and Sadie Wright.
