Frances M. Moore, 88, of Spraggs, Pa. died at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2015 in the Rolling Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Waynesburg, Pa. after being in failing health for the past year.
She was born July 31, 1927 in Mannington, W.Va. a daughter of the late Oren Topen Barnhart and Arietta Virginia Floyd Barnhart Shoff, and had resided in the Spraggs area all her life.
Mrs. Moore was a member of the Spraggs United Methodist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher and a member of the United Methodist Women.
She was a 1948 graduate of Mannington High School.
Mrs. Moore was a former 4-H Leader with the Spraggs Sticharoos sewing club, and in addition to enjoying sewing also enjoyed reading.
On March 2, 1956 she married James Lafey Moore who died December 11, 1993.
Surviving are a daughter, Brenda, wife of Russ Kramer of Sycamore; two sons, David Rusty, husband of Tammy Moore and Ronald Dick, husband of Kim Moore, both of Spraggs; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; a sister, Eileen Schrader; a brother, Robert Barnhart of Spraggs; several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are two sons, James L. Moore, Jr. and Donald Moore; a grandchild who died in infancy and a brother, Charles Barnhart.
Friends will be received from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 with Pastors, Kathy Higgins and Lanfer Simpson co-officiating. Interment will follow in Phillips Cemetery, Wayne Twp.
