Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Young

Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Young, age 86, of Waynesburg, PA. (formerly of Canonsburg, PA.), passed away Friday, August 15, 2019 in Waynesburg Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Born June 12, 1933 in Hundred, WV., she is the daughter of the late George and Attie (Himelrick) Six.

Elizabeth was a Greene County resident since 2005. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Elizabeth was also a member of the Senior Living Center. She lived at the Thompson Gardens where she volunteered and cooked their meals. Elizabeth was employed at the Greenery Center as a CNA for eight years until she retired in 2005. She loved Bingo and talking to her neighbors.

She is survived by three children, Deborah Legg, of Columbia, KY, Harold Michael “Mike” (Robin) Young, of Washington, PA, and Holly (Kevin) Geiser, of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two siblings, Nelda Woolery and Kenneth Six, both of Waynesburg, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, one son, Randy Young; eight siblings, George Six, Ruth McDonald, Neil Six, Howard Six, Don Six, Ralph Six, Dorsey Six, and Velma, who dead in infancy.

Friends will be received on Monday, August 19, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181. A funeral service will follow immediately after visitation with Pastor Dave Woods, officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery, Center Twp., PA.
