E. Joan Hughes

E. Joan Hughes, 84, of Holbrook, Pa. died at 1:40 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2015 in her home after being in failing health for the past several months.
She was born June 28, 1931 in Richhill Twp. (Bristoria), Greene County, Pa. a daughter of the late Lloyd Elbin and Ruth Evelyn Murray Hull and had resided in Center Twp. since 1961.
Mrs. Hughes was a former member of the Centennial Church of God.
She enjoyed her time with family and grandchildren, picture puzzles, baking, watching soap operas and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
On March 3, 1950 she married Doyle Kenneth Buck Hughes who died April 30, 2009.
Surviving are three daughters, Jeannie, wife of Keith Blake of Carmichaels, Barbara Rasel of Orlando, Fla. and Penny Hughes of Holbrook; six sons, Edward, husband of Peggy Hughes of Carmichaels, Gary, husband of Denise Hughes of Langeloth, Michael Hughes of Holbrook, David Hughes of Waynesburg, Brian, husband of Lena Hughes of Rogersville and Mark, husband of Jennifer Hughes of Rivesville, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren, Tammy Rasel Ogram, Shawn Rasel, Melissa Keifer, Marcie, Kenny, Dillion, Patrick and Tucker Hughes, Jaimie Blake Edwards and Ryan Blake; 15 great grandchildren; four brothers, Melvin Hull of Rogersville, Roger, husband of Mabel Hull of Prosperity, Kenneth, husband of Barbara Hull of Moundsville, W.Va. and Terry, husband of Kaye Hull of Waynesburg; a sister, Marilyn, wife of Harry Carroll of West Finley; a former daughter-in-law, Patty Jackman Kortich of Waynesburg; a very special friend, Mary Jane Katchmark, of Holbrook; several nieces and nephews;
Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are two grandchildren, Joshua David and Colton Lane Hughes; three brothers, Lloyd Eugene, Oscar L. and William Hull; two sisters, Mary Wise and Nadine Stewart; a son-in-law, Floyd Rasel.
Friends will be received from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. Funeral services and interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to your charity of choice.
