DUANE R. WARD Duane R. Ward, 71 of R. D. #5, Cameron, W. Va., died at 3:31 A.M. on Friday, September 26, 2008 at his home. He was born September 12, 1937 in Aleppo, Pa., a son of the late Samuel B. and Flossie (Bungard) Ward. Mr. Ward was a 1957 graduate of West Greene High School and resided in Cameron since 1970. He was an active member of the community of Cameron as a volunteer fireman, emergency squad driver and United Methodist Church member. Mr. Ward enjoyed high school football and served as head chainman for Cameron High School for 30 years. His wife, Lynda L. (Ryan) Ward, whom he married on June 10, 1960, survives. Also surviving are a son, Timothy D. Ward and his wife, Cathy of Dallas, W. Va.; a daughter, Tammy L. Hill and her husband, Bradley of Mountainburg, Ark.; two grandsons, Seth Ward and Clayton Ward; a sister-in-law, Rose Ward of Paris, Pa. ; four nephews Terry, Ted, Kelly, Gary and wife Tracey Ward; two nieces Linda Ward and Karen Garland. Deceased are two brothers, Donald Ward and Chester Ward.
