Douglas "Doug" W. Boord

Douglas “Doug” W. Boord, age 66, of Waynesburg, passed away, Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at WeCare at Rolling Meadows with his beloved wife by his side.

Born March 14, 1958, in Metz, WV., son of the late Wayne K. and Joan (Rush) Boord.

Doug was a Hundred, WV resident his whole life in mind and spirit. He graduated from Hundred High School in 1976. Doug married Rhonda J. Williams on May 15, 2013, and they were happily married for 11 years. He was self-employed with his HVAC company for over 20 years. Doug was also employed as a pool monitor at their park community in South Carolina. He enjoyed watching sports, especially college football and attending and organizing community events where he lived. Doug performed with a Blues Brother’s Tribute Band. He loved taking his dog Trixie for walks. Doug will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Rachel (William) Mitter, of Waynesburg, Amber Pikula, of Graysville, Angela (Donald) Jacobs, also of Graysville, and Roger Stalnaker, III, of New Freeport; one sister, Sharon Boord, of Cincinnati, OH; one aunt, Julia Rush, of Hundred, WV; two nieces, Alexa Smith and Anastasia Miller.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Frank Mike Pikula, II.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, October 31, 2024, from 4-8 PM at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. where a funeral service will be held directly after with Pastor Gary Crawford, officiating.
