David Kennedy Sr

David L. Kennedy, Sr., 53, of Center Twp., Greene County, Pa. died unexpectedly from injuries received in an automobile accident, Wednesday, October 9, 2013.He was born July 30, 1960 in Waynesburg, Pa. a son of the late Junior Carl Kennedy and Dorothy Linda Temple Kennedy Brummage.Mr. Kennedy had resided in the Mt. Morris area for several years prior to moving to Center Twp. in 2002.He attended the Trinity Baptist Independent Fundamental Church in Franklin Twp. and attended the former Waynesburg High School.Mr. Kennedy was a peace time veteran of the U.S. Army and National Guard.He was a former member of the Carmichaels Moose Lodge and enjoyed hunting and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.Mr. Kennedy was formerly employed by Ames Construction, the Marathon service station at Mt. Morris and Greene A.R.C. prior to being employed for the past 10 years at the Waynesburg Rent-A-Center, the assistant manager at the time of his death.On March 19, 1994 he married Dianna Lynn Bunch who survives.Also surviving are four sons, David L. Kennedy, Jr. of Jefferson, Joshua J. and Christopher Lee Kennedy, both of Mt. Morris and Jeremy Michael Kennedy at home; two daughters, Shannon Eileen Kennedy of Carmichaels and Tabitha May Kennedy of Waynesburg; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Randall, husband of Melody Kennedy of New Freeport and Tyler, husband of Nichole Kennedy of Purseglove, W.Va..Deceased in addition to his parents is his step-father, Larry Brummage, who raised him. The family requests that any donations be directed to the funeral home.
