David Jerry Rhome

David Jerry Rhome, age 67, of Hershey, PA, formerly of Cameron, WV, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 while under the care of the PinnacleHealth Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg, PA.

Born January 23, 1949, in Moundsville, WV, he is the son of Wanda M. Rhome.

David attended Cameron High School, Cameron, WV. He served his country in the United States Army from 1969-1971. David was a member of the Cameron American Legion Post #18 and the Cameron Moose Lodge #758. He was also an avid horse and pony puller for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra L. Rhome; two sons, Dan (Tracey) Rhome, of Marysville, PA and Brett Rhome, of Hershey, PA; grandchildren, Kacie Rhome, Corey Simms, Jaxon Rhome, Kayla Rhome and Troy Rhome; sister, Vickie (Tom) Handley, of Carlisle, PA; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Friends will be received on Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 4-8 P.M. at the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA 15359. (724) 499-5181. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. David will been taken to his place of rest at Jacksonville Cemetery, Graysville, PA, with a horse drawn carriage where full military honors will be performed.
