Daisy Marie (Ealy) Mounts

Daisy Marie (Ealy) Mounts, age 72, of Mt. Pleasant, OH., formerly of Claysville, PA., passed away Monday, September 24, 2018, in Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV., following a brief illness.

Mrs. Mounts was born on June 10, 1946 in East Finley, PA., a daughter of the late Brinton Ealy and Mary Eleanor (Cain) Ealy.

In 1964 she graduated from McGuffey High School where she achieved a 33 year career in food service, retiring as the school district’s Cafeteria Manager.

On September 25, 1964 she married William S. “Bill” Mounts, Jr.; together they made their home in Morris Twp., Washington County, PA., where they raised two daughters.
Mrs. Mounts was a member of the Fairmount United Methodist Church in West Finley, PA. She lived her life as an example where God always came first, followed by her family, friends and dog Max.

She pursued various hobbies in her retirement including knitting, Sudoku puzzles and daily journaling. She was a known avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins fan. One of Mrs. Mounts greatest life’s pleasures was a bowl of ice cream with white house cherry being her favorite.

Surviving are two daughters, Lisa M. Randolph of Mt. Pleasant, OH and Leslie (Lou) O’Bradovich of Adena, OH; a grandson, David Randolph; four step-grandchildren, Rachel (Matt) Brosnahan, Michael (Brandy) O’Bradovich, Jesse (Becky Zeroski) O’Bradovich and Lindsay (Travis) Stanifer; five great-grandchildren, Ian, Ava, Michael Jr., Sophia and Olivia; a sister, Ruth (Tom) Crouse of Prosperity, PA.; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews and their families.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William S. “Bill” Mounts, Jr., in 2011, as well as a brother, Roy Ealy.

Friends will be received on Friday, September 28, 2018, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Fairmount United Methodist Church, 120 Fairmount Church Road, West Finley, PA., 15377 A funeral service will be held at the church on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Scott Lawrence and Elder Robert Hughes, co-officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Washington County, PA.
