Clarence Edward Crawford

Clarence “Pete” Edward Crawford, age 79, of Waynesburg, passed away at Washington Health System Greene on April 19 2022.

He was born April 1, 1943 a son of the late William Leasure and Mary Margaret (Pierson) Crawford.

Pete formerly attended The Willow Grove Baptist Church. He worked many years at Headlee Sawmill in Rogersville and Coastal Lumber in Hopwood. Pete also worked at Bortz in Waynesburg. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Pete had several caregivers due to his failing health, whom he thought the world of: his daughter Donna Eddy, Victoria Matthew, Ashlie Metz, Shannon Kirby, Perry Cash, and Amber Hopkins. He was also very close with a little girl, Zoey Matthew, he always smiled when he saw her: she captured a part of his heart.

Pete is survived by his children Donna Eddy, of Waynesburg; Sandra Kay Crawford, of Homer City; eight grandchildren Bonnie (Robert) Davis, of Brave; Donald Q. (Kelly) Eddy, of Waynesburg; Danny (Danielle) Eddy, of Waynesburg; Amber Davis, of Masontown; Cassandra Kotlar, of Tarentum; Laura Noble, of Waynesburg; Christopher Tuttle, of Waynesburg; and Ryan Tuttle, of Indiana; 14 great-grandchildren; and siblings Mary (Leonard) Brown, of Holbrook; and Barbara (Dave Donaly) Crawford, of Hargus Creek; former sons-in-law Donald Eddy, of Waynesburg; Charles Tuttle, of Homer City; and Warren Weimer, of McClellandtown; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Pete is preceded in death by sisters Marjorie Dunn and Betty Leek, and ex-wife whom he loved Karen S. Crawford.

Friends and Family will be received at the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. Rogersville, PA 15359; Telephone 724-499-5181 on April 22, 2022 from 10-2 PM with a funeral service directly after with Pastor Sam Crawford officiating. At the request of the family, burial will be private.
