Charles E. "Ed" Parson, III.

Charles E. “Ed” Parson, III., age 79, of Wind Ridge, passed away, Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Presbyterian Senior Care at Southmont.

Born May 18, 1945, in Bristoria, son of the late Charles D. and Kathryn (Smith) Parson.

Ed had been a Greene County resident most of his life. He graduated from West Greene High School in 1963. Ed was a member of Harmony Presbyterian Church in Wind Ridge. He was also a member of the Cameron Masonic Lodge No. 17 for 55 years. Ed married Nancy J. “Janie” Isiminger on August 20, 1965, and they were happily married for 59 years. He was employed as a Boilermaker for the Boilermakers Local 667 for 36 years until he retired in 2002. Ed was very well-respected in his profession. He operated Parson Supply for 13 years from 1985 through 1998. Ed was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather to his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Timothy “Tim” (Tina) Parson, of Graysville; five grandchildren, Nancy (Travis) Gump, of Pittsburgh, Robert (Courtney) Parson, of Claysville, Rodney, Aaron, and Celia Parson, all of Graysville; two great grandchildren, Charlie and Robbie Parson, both of Claysville; four siblings, Shirley Jones, of Canonsburg, Sharon (Nelson) Stover, of Waynesburg, Saundra (Norman Jones) Bayles, of Waynesburg, and Rick (Marcie) Parson, of Smithfield.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Robert “Rob” Charles Parson.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 4-8 PM at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. PO Box 434 Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181, where the Waynesburg Masonic Lodge No. 153 will conduct a service at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Nelson Boone, officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery, Center Township.
