Charles E. May, Jr., 66, of McKeesport, Pa. and formerly of Claysville, Pa. died unexpectedly of natural causes, Friday, June 8, 2012 in his home.He was born November 17, 1945 in Washington, Pa. a son of the late Charles E. May, Sr. and Helen Jane Montgomery May and had resided in the McKeesport area for the past 30 years.He was a 1964 graduate of McGuffey High School.Mr. May was veteran of the Viet Nam War where he served with the U.S. Army as a specialist 5th class with the 69th Signal Battalion and was awarded the Viet Nam Service Medal, the Viet Nam Campaign Medal and National Defense Service Medal.Mr. May was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion Posts both in McKeesport.Mr. May was a self employed general contractor most of his life in the Pittsburgh area and was employed as a truck driver for Dick's Sporting Goods in Pittsburgh at the time of his death.Surviving are his wife, Ruth Konopka of McKeesport; a brother, Stan, husband of Brenda May of Waynesburg; several nieces and nephews.
