Carl Mitchell

Carl Mitchell, 93, of Nineveh, Pa. died at 7:15 a.m. in his home Wednesday, March 24, 2004.He was born September 23, 1910 in Center Township, Greene County, Pa. a son of William Randall and Cora Mabel Milliken Mitchell and has resided in Nineveh since 1943.Mr. Mitchell was a former member of the Rogersville United Methodist Church.He was a 1930 graduate of Center Township High School in Rogersville.Mr. Mitchell was a former employee of Jessop Steel Corp., Pa. Dept. of Highways and W.P.L.E. Freight Lines and was last employed as a fireman at Donley Brick Co. in Washington for nine years prior to retiring in 1975.On September 26, 1934 he married Edna Ruth Keigley Mitchell who died June 14, 2002.Surviving are one son, William L. "Larry" Mitchell of Rogersville; two daughters, Ruth Ann Goodwin of Cameron Star Rt. Waynesburg and Joan Durbin of Graysville, R.D.#1; 10 grandchildren, Brenda Goodwin Wearne, Judi Goodwin Tanner, Lisa Goodwin Durbin, Sandra Goodwin Brudnock, David M. Goodwin, Douglas W. Mitchell, Jan Mitchell Britton, Leslie Durbin Stennett, Keith A. and Kevin A. Durbin; 13 great grandchildren.Mr. Mitchell was the last of his immediate family.
