Betty Lohr McClellan, 78, of Wimd Ridge, Pa. R.D.#1, Pa. died unexpectedly at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2004 in her home.She was born November 1, 1925 in Aleppo Township, Greene County, Pa. a daughter of Jessie W. and Cornelia Ruth Yost Lohr and has been a resident of Aleppo and Richhill Townships all her life.Mrs. McClellan was a member of the Ryerson South Wheeling Baptist Church.She was a 1943 graduate of Aleppo Township High School, where she was a star pitcher on the high school baseball team, and pitched a no hitter against Center Township High School in Rogersville, and was one of the first female students in the school to have a driver's license.Mrs. McClellan enjoyed raising flowers and gardening.She and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm for several years.On August 19, 1943 she married James Eugene McClellan who died March 30, 1985.Surviving are three sons, Victor R. McClellan of Nineveh, James Gregory McClellan of Claysville and Timothy L. McClellan of Moundsville, W.Va.; three brothers, Edwin Lohr of Wheeling, Bert Lohr of Phoenix, AZ. and Richard W. Lohr of Holbrook R.D.#1; two grandchildren, Lisa A. McClellan of Monongahela and James Brian McClellan of Claysville.Deceased is a sister, who died in infancy.
