Albert Wright

Albert Blaine Wright, 72, of Graysville, Pa. died at 11:35 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2010 in the Golden Living Center, Waynesburg, Pa.He was born June 23, 1937 in East Finley Twp., Washington Co. Pa. a son of the late Clarence Albert and Leona Icadore Ealy Wright.Mr. Wright had resided in the Washington area prior to moving to Morris Twp. Greene Co. in 1962.He was a member of the Nineveh United Methodist Church, Nineveh, Pa.Mr. Wright was a 1955 graduate of Waynesburg High School.He was a peacetime veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a specialist fourth class with Co B, 1st ARB, 6th Infantry at Fort Hood, Texas.Mr. Wright was employed by the former Accurate Brass in Brave, Pa., Hoges Bakery in Waynesburg, Continental Can in Washington and was employed as a coil stacker at the former McGraw-Edison Plant in Canonsburg for 25 years until the plant closed and was last employed as a maintenance man for West Penn Wire in Washington for approximately 10 years prior to retiring in 2005.Mr. Wright enjoyed building and refinishing oak furniture and had an affinity for any work that involved digging.On September 2, 1961 he married June Edna Folkens who survives.Also surviving are two daughters, Terry, wife of Jeffrey Lash of Nineveh and Trudy, wife of K. Niles Hamilton of Graysville, Pa.; four grandchildren, Christopher and Rebecca Lash, Carrie and Colton Hamilton; two brothers, Herbert, husband of JoAnne Wright of Graysville and John, husband of Wanda Wright of Waynesburg; several nieces and nephews.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Nineveh U.M.
